Casual Games
Play friendly games without worrying about official ratings, rankings, tournament pairings or results.
Love chess but not looking for a serious tournament? Come along for a relaxed Saturday evening of friendly, social chess at Carlingford Bowling Club. No ratings. No tournament pressure. No need to be a professional. Just turn up, find an opponent and enjoy the game.
Aussie Chess Social Night is about one thing above everything else: actually enjoying chess.
This isn't a formal tournament, chess class or professional competition. It is a casual chess meetup where adults can sit across the board from someone new, play a few games and enjoy the evening at their own pace.
You might play one long game. You might play five quick ones. You might try a new opening, ask for a rematch or spend ten minutes discussing where everything went wrong.
That's the idea. Chess first. Friendly atmosphere. No pressure.
No official chess rating required.
No tournament experience required.
Beginners, casual and experienced players welcome.
No event fee. Come, play and go.
