Parramatta Make New Friends is all about bringing people together for friendship, fun and community. Whether you’re new to Western Sydney, looking to expand your social circle, or simply want to meet good people — this is your spot.
We believe meeting up isn’t just about hanging out — it’s about building a support network with everyone together, discovering new opportunities, sharing interests, and making long lasting good friendships
Parramatta Make New Friends has been running consistently for over five years, with most events reaching full capacity. We usually meet at the Parramatta Leagues Club, with occasional special meetups at other venues during larger events or game days. Our group is truly one-of-a-kind — a safe, inclusive, and welcoming space where people feel valued, supported, and genuinely connected. It’s recognised as one of the most positive and friendly meetup communities in Sydney.

We meet every weekend at Parramatta Leagues Club, usually 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM.

No, there are no charges or membership fees. You only pay for your own food or drinks if you choose to have any. Some venues may have fees for certain events, but most of the places we use do not have any entry charges.
Absolutely. Many members start out feeling shy, and the group is very supportive. You can take your time, join conversations when you’re ready, and you’ll quickly find people who match your vibe.
We’re a group focused on building long-term friendships and genuine connections.
Families, couples, children, parents, students, professionals, locals, and internationals — everyone is welcome to join and enjoy relaxed social time together.
However, please note that this is not a dating meetup, and definitely not a hookup or one-night-stand group.
If you’re joining only to look for a partner, this is not the right meetup for you.
Nope! Games are optional. You can join the fun, chill on the side, or cheer loudly for your new favourite stranger.
We usually start with casual conversations and introductions, followed by fun group activities like games, pool, or exploring the venue together. It’s all about good vibes and genuine connection. We may also have dinner together, but it’s completely optional.
Bring yourself — and if you bring good vibes, a smile, and a funny story from your week, even better!
However, For entry into the Any RSL/Leagues/Public Clubs, don’t forget:
Aussies: Any valid photo ID
International guests: Passport + Aussie address proof
Please don’t bring friends without an RSVP.
Everyone must RSVP individually before attending — this helps us manage numbers and ensure a smooth event.
If you’d like to bring someone, just message the organiser first, and we’ll let you know if it’s possible for that event.
Yes, absolutely! We’re a family-friendly group, and you’re more than welcome to bring your children, parents, or spouse. We love when families join in and enjoy the meetup together.
Of course. You can go whenever you like.
Yes, you can — but we strongly discourage last-minute cancellations.
If it happens three times, you may be removed from future events to keep things fair for everyone.
No! Most people come alone, especially for their first meetup. It’s a relaxed environment where you can easily chat, meet new people, and join in at your own pace.
We usually host our meetups at Parramatta Leagues Club, which has no entry fee for visitors.
However, during game nights or major events at CommBank Stadium, the Parramatta area can get very crowded. Parking also becomes paid and harder to access. On these days, we may move the meetup to an alternative venue for everyone’s convenience.
No. We are a private, community-run social meetup group, not a business. Our organisers volunteer their time, and all meetups are run purely for social connection and friendship. Attendance is free, with no paid services or sales happening at meetups.
Any interactions or activities that occur outside the meetup are solely the responsibility of the individuals involved. The organisers are not liable for the actions or behaviour of any members outside official meetup events.
